Have you ever been to a movie theater and seen a movie with amazing graphics and surround sound? I know I have, and to me, that’s a much better experience than watching it on a tiny screen at home. Is it worth waiting for a movie to become free on Disney+ or Netflix? Or, should you pay the money that can range from $9-$20 to see the movie in theaters?
Personally, I love going to a movie theater with my family/friends because it causes me to focus strictly on the movie without getting distracted by my phone, my pets and other things around my home. The theatrical atmosphere helps viewers better comprehend details and the storyline of the movie. There are studies that show movies can help reduce stress and what better way to do that than escaping the whirlwind of things to do at home than coming to enjoy a movie with relaxing seats, a calm environment, and delicious snacks!
Some of the issues of viewing movies at home include color and light distorment. When you see it in the theater the beauty of the colors look very different from a mobile device at home. The smaller screens tend to distort the colors and make them shades lighter/darker than they actually are. Even the quality of the movie is much clearer on a larger screen in a way that an iPhone/iPad/computer never could.
Theaters sell movie tickets that can be anywhere from $9-$20 and most people would think that’s expensive and I agree. But for me personally I like getting to see movies when they come out so I can talk about it with my friends and get excited for it to come out on Disney+ or Netflix. It takes at least a month for a movie to start streaming on tv. But that includes paying at least $25.00
I think that it’s worth going to see a movie in the theater because it’s a magical experience that’s got a feeling like no other. The lights and colors are immaculate and the sound is clear as day. Another bonus is movie goes get to enjoy some delicious popcorn, candy, and slurpees.
